Hi wanting New York.... Ya know, Francis could be used as a boys or girls name. Middle name is best, ya agree? Anyhow, if they prefer to stay in the family, Im sure any previously used name will go with Robert. btw....what kind of last name??? This could make a difference. Theres always the most popular, Robert Michael....Look into what the initials spell or stand for also.. if its bad, it could be quite a problem. One further tidbit before I bore you... Look at last names and maiden names of the women. Sometimes these can work quite well, like Robert Kennedy------------ or Robert Tyler-------- or Robert Benjamin----- Good luck to your friends and Im sure whatever they choose, it will be perfect. Robert is a classic first name and would sound good with any classic middle name like James, Michael, David, Benjamin or something like that.

We chose names that are unsusual and that had some significant meaning and family background.

Makahna (hawaiin for 'gift') Dawn (my middle name)

Reese (welsh for 'enthusiastic') Parker (my moms maiden name)

Anabella (latin for 'grace and beauty', is also hubbies sister' middle name) Joy (my sisters' middle name)

For your friends, Frank would still be after her grandmother, or maybe go by her granmother last name or maiden name (could always make a name combo too)

Choose a family name like the mother's maiden name. Otherwise, almost any name goes with Robert: Alan, James, Evan, Ian, Lance, etc.
