Monkeys Jack-off like crazy. Thats the last thing I want to see my pet doing on a regular basis! Yeah, it might be funny at the zoo with a crowd of people, but its not so cute when you and your date are watching a movie and Mr.Monkey's doin the four-knuckle shuffle on top of the TV.

I was going to say a monkey before I read the details. I have always said a monkey is the best pet. The only thing better would be a cyborg monkey with magic powers.

My greatest pet has been my dog -a shihtzu - she has been a faithful companion and has now had her eighteenth birthday but still enjoys her run in a field !! She has a beautiful nature and has never snarled, bitten or snapped at anyone or anything. Shihtzus are among the most hypoallergenic dogs to-day and they do not shed hairs the way most dogs do - best just to get their hair cut unless you wish to spend a lot of time grooming them

Monkeys are pretty unpredictable and do not make the greatest pets. They will not always do what you want them to do, regardless of what you've seen in the movies and on TV. Go fetch your own slippers and learn to cook for yourself.

A monkey would not make a good pet, they are quite nasty when older!
A dog a cat or two, lots of fish and two dwarf frogs are the greatest pets I know and I'm owned by all of them!!!

It depends on what you expect out of your pet
I just want love and attention from my pet so a dog and cat are the best although a monkey can give the best hugs if it wanted

We have a blue and gold macaw, an African Gay and an African Grey. They are all in our lounge, never any smell and are far better than kids. They love an argument and insist on sharing our food, tonight I had dwarf beans on my meal, and never ate one of them. One rings his bell, another says "come on then" and the third "Oy" or "Thank you." They are quiet if you are resting, and best of all they don't go slamming doors if they are in a mood and they don't take drugs, not that my kids did. If you go out they will not touch their food until we get home and their is always a welcome we we get home.

Couldn't ever replace Lucky my border collie but that is another story.

i agree with the first answer. we have an indoor pet rabbit and he is brilliant. he doesn't fetch slippers but then again we don't need to take him for a walk. he's cute, fluffy and likes a cuddle. what more can you ask for. ooooooh and he is also quiet.
