Why does the nba say this player has great length?

they say this player @ 6"9 has great size when he really is only 6"7 ...and with shoes on hes probably barely 6"8...is the nba average is 6"7 or 6"8 how can 6"7 be great length??
then nba average has to be 6"6 if 6"7 is great length caus they seem to up players 2 inches

When they say someone has great length, it just doesn't depend on height....they take also in consideration wing span and jumping ability. Depends how it is use in context, it could also include the player's speed and agility.
