Yes it is not only now legal it was never technically illegal although the Food and Drug Administration did restrict its use for a period of time. Silicone was originally chosen as it is biologically inert meaning that it cannot cause a reaction in people. It was 1st used by injection into the breast and then implanted in a balloon like sac. Lawsuits were the result of attorneys not silicone and although some have been settled out of court those which went to trial were won in favor of silicone being safe. Due to legal concerns most physicians are still liklely to stay away.

i'm not sure whether it's illegal or not but it's possible to get s silicone infection from them that causes them to need to be removed. the infections can get pretty bad because they aren't always very noticable and can cause a lot of damage so i wouldnt' be suprised if they stopped using them because of a law or just pure health risks.

it may be true but it is very dangerous i wouldnt suggest it. if the silicone gets into your blood stream you could die!
