Is there anything out there that I can add to my ring to prevent it from turning so much?

Try getting it sized a little- they can size it a half or even a quarter a size.

Ifyou take it to a jeweler and tell him your problem the best thing he can do is put two little prongs on the inside of the ring it keeps it balanced and doesn't bother your finger I forget the name of the process but it really works to keep your ring upright. There is a new style of ring from italy that's becoming popular in america it's squared off on the sides and it's great for the larger stones that are so popular now. good luck Oh yeah the jeweler shouldn't charge anymore to put the little prongs on to balance the ring than it would to size it.

A simplest solution is to wear a small teflon ring inside of it.
The stuff that is used to wrap flower bags looks like garden
tape, it is a type of velcro.
