okay the child does not like retarded art projects, and second of all, i dont want to spend quality time with them because i have a feeling it wont be that great, and i dont want somthing retarded like neo pets either.

Ok, you're telling us that they don't like 'retarded art projects' but you're also saying you don't want to spend quality time with them because it wouldn't be that great? How do you even know what they like or don't like if you're unwilling to spend 'quality' time with them?

I really don't understand your question. Are you asking for advice on websites because you need to pass on this information to the 12 year old or are you going to be sitting on a one time basis. If this is a one time deal, stay off the web and share quality time together. Find preteen friendly art projects or discussions you can share.
The web is a really good thing, but how much social skills can one learn from the darn thing.

my twelve years old niece likes to play games, go to yahoo games or post games or aol games or just have her be on yahoo answers seems like there's a lot of 12 -14 year olds on here
