I don't feel that we lose jobs to Mexican's trying to make a living in the US. They normally do jobs that most American's are not willing to do. If there is a threat it is the American Corporations that move jobs overseas. Immigrants just want to have a better life than what they have in Mexico. Seriously I'm trying to understand.

I don't think they feel threaten, just concerned about all the problems that mass migration can cause. The cost alone of illegal immigrants not just Mexicans, on the American Tax Payers is staggering. It taxes our Welfare, Hospital, Schools, Police, and other social agencies. I don't believe Mexicans are here to steal jobs, I believe they are just looking for a better life. But something has to be done, let them enter the county legally. Mexico has strict rules for any American trying to move there or set up a business there, so we need to have our rules also. We have to protect our citizens.

it is hard to understand people's mentalities, but as Salomon said, it all evens out, when more people are present, more jobs are needed, because of growth.
There are major problems in the world enough to worry about the threats of a new war and many other things.

One thing I'll never understand is why are people so ignorant about this whole thing with immigration and do they not know, based on facts and numbers, existing ones, real ones, that there are more illegal Canadians in the US than "Mexicans" (one thing I can't stand is ignorant people call all latinos mexicans) there are also Salvadorians, Hondurians, Guatemalans, (all the ones from the central american regions) and no they are not mexican and not all mexicans are low, some are outstanding people.

To name a few, the Mayor of Los Angeles: Antonio, Villarraigosa, Anthony Queen, Ricardo Montalban, just naming a few, they all came to this Country and made it, except for Villarrigosa, as well as Rosario Marin (Rosario Marin, of Huntington Park, California, was sworn in as the 41st Treasurer of the United States by Secretary Paul O'Neill on August 16, 2001. Ms. Marin was born in Mexico City and is the first foreign born U.S. Treasurer to hold this office. She is also the highest ranking Latina to serve in President George W. Bush's Administration. (She is the one whose signature appears on different denominations dollar bills.

Many times I wonder, could it be that people are so envious that other people (immigrants from other countries) were able to make it and be someone? I think so! It is just an excuse for racism.

It's so sad to see the world come to this. We shouldn't be threatened by Mexicans. It's a shame the government is targeting the Mexicans. The U.S belonged to the American Indians and the Mexicans. Why is it so hard to respect that. What is wrong with this society? Is anyone interested in history or humanity? The U.S is the land of the FREE and full of diversity. But lets get rid of the Mexicans. How ridiculous. I think we need a new leader, a new commander in chief. I think anyone who wants to come to America should do it the legal way. Stop hating on the Mexicans that just want a better life for themselves and their family.

The immigrants taking jobs most Americans want is a little song and dance the Democrats like. Californians prisons are filled with over 25% illegals. 50% of gangs especially in California are made of illegals.

The only reason why south American drug lords are in business is b/c they bring there drugs threw the Mexican border. We also no that Hezbollah and Al-quida have went to Mexican illegals to help them get into the USA. It only takes one terrorists with the right weapon to kill half a million.

On top of that they come here and take much of our tax money in countless circumstances.

I'm sure many of them do want a better life. But they are going about it in a wrong way. Most of them are good people in search of a better life. But many coming here grab every free cent the gov is willing to give, which is alot, is wrong.

But i do agree corporations that move jobs overseas is a problem we also need to deal with.

I don't feel threatened at all. I don't know why some Americans do either. Most of them jump on the bandwagon. Are they missing out on a meal or because of the immigrants? Are they suffering from stress or something? Are they losing sleep over the growing immigration process? The only people i have a problem with regardless of background are the ones who wont work, who abuse the system to live off other people who work hard, those who rob and commit murder. How can you use people, get them to work jobs that most people wont work, let them work in your companies and then when it gets to be so much, try to keep them awa and send them back to their country?

Well, I am Mexican...I was born in USA, but I am prouder to say that I am Mexican. Basically, Americans have to find someone to blame for their under the table corruption, and of course the countries neighbors are the ones to blame. But US wouldn't be anything without Mexican's and not only have Mexican's made this country strong, but all immigrants. And now, hard working workers and families have made their lives here and all they do is get knocked down over and over again without the opportunity of progressing and making their lives better. I don't know what to tell you so that you can understand, but just know that we are a proud race and no matter what we will prevail! (No matter how many Bush's and racist Government officials we have to tumble down to the floor!)

Nobody is "Threatened" by ILLEGAL (lets stress that word) immigrants. What we want is for employers to pay a fair wage, which in many cases employers do not want to do. If the wages were fair there would be no such thing as a job "most Americans are not willing to do." Most americans (even the ones who make minimum wage) pay a percentage of their income to the governemt. Thats called taxes. We pay these taxes so that we can enjoy a certain ammount of freedom and a higher quality of life. Illegal immigrants are looking for a higher quality of life, but they want to have the bennefits of living in America without paying the price legal citizens (and legal immigrants) pay. They also enable employers to not have to pay social security and other taxes that are required for companies in this country to pay when they are employing people legally. I don't blame people for wanting to better the quality of their lives, but there are legal avenues you can go down if you want to be a citizen of this country.

They say the majority of what humans do is based on fear. Because the
body can be easily damaged. We fear for what we will eat, shelter. Will
there be enough to go around for everybody, enough for the future?
In reality, the more people there are, the more jobs are created to take care of those people. Stores, apartments, eating places. So it balances out.
Myself, I know the Lord works in mysterious ways. The Earth is going through
a major physical upheaval of some sort. It is going to put humanity at
each others throats, fighting over basic needs. There will be worldwide
war before it's all over, and we are going to to need everybody here to help
protect this country. Both here and abroad.

I have the problem with them coming to US and getting financial aid, medical care, food stamps, govt. housing, etc. They work, pay no taxes, etc. I want to go to college, I get very LITTLE financial aide...I can get a TON of loans which I won't have paid back when I die...not even enough food stamps to last me 2 weeks and when I was working I had to pay taxes...I very recently checked on moving to Canada so I could have affordable health care...do you know what they told me..I had to live there 3 years with NO assistance of any kind..no financial aid, healthcare, govt. housing, food assistance or anything for 3 full years and then I could apply for residency...After I became a resident I would qualify for all that...Immigrants cross the border and within a month, get everything...it's not fair...I am on disability and I am using EVERY DIME and more I make to pay expenses and I have NOTHING left..I have to go to the food banks to get food. That is my problem...You want to come here..fine...you should have to to live here 3 years with no assistance like I would if I moved to Canada (P.S. I would have to pay taxes in Canada)

In response to the person with the driving example.

Let's say you're driving down the road, a highly-leveraged citizen (of any race) hits you. Since he's so far in debt he let his insurance lapse, you're also out of luck.

Get a grip.

And the above mentioned situation happens daily across the U.S., since age is a precursor to wisdom, you should have expanded your scope of knowledge a long time ago.

Also in response to a comment below:

Mexican police actually stopped suspected terrorists from entering the U.S. 25% of prison populations can't be illegal aliens, illegal aliens get deported to their last known country of residence.
