that people are all EQUAL! No one person has authority over any other person. White people don't have authority of over black people and vice versa. Why should ONE PERSON or one small collection of people be able to make the laws and tell us what to do. Looking at the big picture, humans were created as equals, and we should keep it that way.

no matter what we do, or what we think that we will TRY TO DO, the "all men (or women) are created equal" slogan is not true and is not going to change to truth. everything has a ruling person: the strongest and fastest animals eat the weakest and slowest, the tallest and biggest trees wipe out the ferns and weaklings down below, people always rule over people. look at it this way, we may be fed up, YOU may be fed up, but what would you do about it? what would you do so that there wouldn't be a ruler or a lawmaker? and if you did succeed in doing that, wouldn't it be YOU that was ruling and telling others what to do and believe? think about it. we just can't escape it.

I totally agree! Some of us are better at certain things than others. My granddaughter is 4, she is an absolutely stunning and beautiful mixed girl. She told me today that the reason she can dance so well was because she is brown. I had to laugh. I did tell her though that it was probably because she's had more practice than me. In reality though, if you think about it , it all starts and will end when the prison system stops the segregation. Kind of like pork bellies. When the prisons treat prejudice like they do a liar, lets say, it would practically cease to exist.

I am sorry, but if we had no one making the rules, this place would be a mess. If it bothers you so much that there is someone with more authority than you making the rules, then climb your way to the top. And by the way, nobody is making you do anything...you have a choice in every decision. If you feel the rules are wrong, then break them, but face the consequences as well.
But, I will admit that I believe....there are way too many rules!

You're right, lets just all become anarchists and live in a sordid world of mistrust. Lets see how you like THAT. Me, I prefer my running water and my electricity. Me, I prefer having money in my pocket, not because I may be wealthy, but because that very money, however small the amount, sustains an implicit socioeconomic unity, basic and primitive as it may really be when bared down to the bone. Me, I prefer having my own home, a dear preference that would undoubtedly taper down to being content with having a mattress and covers not stolen from me too soon. No, me I prefer the inequality, my s*hitty job, and people making laws.

That's right. I beg to differ with the (your????) theory.

well, some people are aggressive and power hungry. They are the ones who get the power and conquer the weak passive people. Idealy your theory is good but in reality it would never be possible. People arent equal, everyone has talents that in some way make them better at something than another person. if not we would all suck at everything, or be good at evrything. we'd all be the exact same and be total robots robbed of our indiviuality.

I see your point, and it makes sense. but since there ae so many idiots and sickos around, there has to be some laws (sometimes...very stupid laws)
I wondered the other day why do they have the authority to tell me that I have to be 21 to have a beer, and it's 18 in other countries....it's just a drink after all-but I suppose they see american teens as less mature than in other places-where they don't get drunk just because it's cool

that theory is not new...authorities came to life with judgment right/wrong, good/bad....unless judgments will cease to exist in our minds, any kind of judgment, that theory will remain a theory, beautiful one but theory. For now , you just see all the people equal, fully and honestly with no judgment made..where it leads? oh, you cannot do that 'till other will do the same?Scared? They will eat you up? That is why it still a theory...

I agree, people are all related anyway. Humans come down to 3 original families from right after the great flood. Everyone is our brother, sister, cousin, aunt, uncle etc... So we should treat everyone equally. The bible says "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." We should all live by that rule.

Because life is not that simple. There will always be someone over someone else. It's like the movie "Lion King".Someone is always at the lower level of the food chain.Or in this case,Society.
It's a dog eat, dog world.I'm sad to say!
As for being equal..well, our constitution has many holes in it.Not many higher-ups stand by it's words. They change them to fit their beliefs. We are all created equal..yeah! right!

Yes indeed. but equality is not necesarrily a good thing. Humans for example, are equally frail. These frailties will always lead to violation of structure in which our civilization is based on.
Without it, we're just but Animals' equal.
