You know like in busses or with police, they have walky-talkies and say "10-4" (ten-four) to say they understand what they need to do... WHY DOES 10-4 MEAN THAT???

It means your done talking and the other person can respond. Or it means you understood the other person.

There is a whole list of 10 codes in trucker lingo. 10-4 you know. 10-20 is "what's your location." I believe 10-36 asks about the time.

10-4 means they copy or understand what the other person is saying. it dosnt mean ok.
