First baby was 5 days late, labor was 11 hours, she came out very easily in 2 pushes.

Second baby was 17 days early, labor was about 5 hours (but not very strong labor pains until the last 2 hours), went from 4cm to 10cm in 20 minutes, came out very easily in 2 pushes.

Pregnant again, due in March, what are the chances this baby might be early and come with an even quicker labor? I know there is no scientific proof on these sorts of things, but I'm just curious to see what other's experiences are.

My 1st was born after a 20 minute labor, 3 pushes. My 2nd was taken via emergency c-section after 1 hour of labor. I haven't had a 3rd, but both my labors were very rapid.

It's LIKELY that you will go early and have a fast labor again, but I wouldn't 100% count on it. I've personally known people that had wayyyy different birth experiences, even after 3 or 4.

Baby #1: 5 days early...2 1/2 days of labor. Only spent 4 hours at the hospital because I didn't dialate enough to be admitted until they gave me a shot of Morphine and I slept at home and went to an 8. I pushed for 15 minutes...continously with no break.

Baby #2: 1 wk early, induced due to idiot doctor had stripped my membrane and "K" hadn't dropped, luckily the procedure didn't work because I would've had a prolapse cord. Anyway...Labor was 14 hrs and I only pushed for 5 minutes....nurses thought I was lying about my oldest was out in 15...

I had quick deliveries but long labors...in fact they were seriously considering ceasarians with both my boys. Although with my youngest I was able to fall in love with the anesthesiologist who gave me my Epidural.

I know with a family history of lots of babies that each one is different but if you have a history of being quick make sure you have a plan. I loved being pre-registered so it was a quick check-in with both my boys even though they were different hospitals due to the USAF. Congrats on the new addition.

My first baby was 5 days early and came in 8 hours with 20 minutes of pushing.

Second one was 10 days early came in 2 hours and I barely pushed once.

My doctor said that if I even think I feel something to get to the hospital immediately with my third one if I hope to deliver in a hospital with an epidural. I am now 28 weeks along and praying I will make it because the doctor freaked me out...... she said generally each pregnancy comes on average 5 days earlier than the last and in half the time of the last one.

My first was born 2 days before due date, 20 1/2 hr labor. My second was overdue by a week, 6 hr labor, wham bam, she's here type. My third....lol...stubborn little redhead....lol...I went into labor the day she was due, but she decided to have me drag it out and finally was born 19 1/2 hrs later, two hours into the next day. (She missed her due date by 2hrs.) As far as delivery, first was long, two hours to deliver, second, basically two pushes, third, same thing, two pushes. So, it does vary. Your best bet though is to stay close to the hospital when your due date rolls closer, just in case. You could have a 1 1/2 hr labor and delivery, or it could drag on for hours, it all just depends. Good luck, congrats!

Every labor experience is very different. I had a very easy time with my first two, and just expected the third to be even better, but it wasn't. The baby was posterier, and didn't want to turn around, and it was 10 times worse than the other two. This doesn't mean that yours will be worse, it could be much better, but you can NEVER predict how the delivery and labor is going to be... Good luck to ya! :)

How fun! Congrats on baby #3!
#1 came on his due date. About 2 hrs. of labor. Came with 2 pushes.
#2 came 4 weeks early. Perfectly healthy. About 1 hr. of labor and 2 pushes.
#3 also came 4 weeks early (on #1 b-day). Lungs not fully developed and spent 10 days in NICU. Healthy ever since. 1hr. of labor and 1 big push.

nobody really knows but your baby...my first was 3 weeks early and c-section..my second was on time and natural 5 hours start to finish my third was 2 weeks early and by c-section...there is no real way to tell....chance are s/he will come early because this has happen to you before..quicker labor could happen and it could not...if I had gone natural with my 3rd it would of been a very long labor b/c I was contracting but not dialiting..with my first I had no choice but to go c-section b/c he was breech....best of luck in a quick as pain free as you can get labor...

I also had my first two children very fast, so when my third child was due my dr. induced her a week before my due date as he was afraid I was going to have her very fast. When I had my 4th she was almost 3 weeks early and i delivered her in 2 hours. But I really think you could take a longer time. When you are ready it will come!

WOW, you were lucky! I have had three, and each birth was about as hald as long as the one before it. I was in labor for 18 hours with my 1st (two weeks late, had to be induced), 9hrs with my 2nd (two weeks early, came ntaurally), and 6hrs with our 3rd (two weeks early, had to be induced). Best of luck to you, and if you ever want other moms to run things by, I have a GREAT moms group..."We are mommies, and enjoy the toughest job in the world.
