If I go to the browser screen, then it will show that it is reading the disc for about one second. Is there something wrong with the laser or the spinner? What do I do the spinner or the laser?

First, I went to the browser screen. At the bottom of the screen, it will show if it is reading the disc and I know my disc is almost perfectably clean. At the bottom of the screen, it will say " reading disc" for about one second. Is something wrong with the spinner or is somehthing wrong with the laser? What do I do to the laser or the spinner?

its your laser eye it needs to be replaced the disk can only spin if the laser eye is reading it so for those few seconds the eye trys to read but doesnt. I had this problem before changed eye fixed problem

Make sure that your disc is clean. Take a tissue and wipe the underside. Then, try other discs such as DVDs to see if it really is the system that is malfunctioning. If none of this works, you can always buy a new PS2 for $100, or just buy the new PS3 when it comes back in stock. Good luck.
