Games is the answer I came up with. You can make games (I taught my son to round up and down using the letters of his name using the rounding rules) or you can buy them.

There is a series of books by a teacher named Peggy Kaye that covers teaching children to strengthen their learning weaknesses by playing. I own the Math, Reading, and Writing one and use the Writing one all of the time.

She has a website, and it has a few things on it.

Also, the people who make Uno have a game called Cinq-O. It covers basic addition of multiple single-digit numbers, multiplication (1-3 math facts), and using a table. I use it while waiting for meals at restaurants.

Cranium makes great games for critical thinking and full brain use (creativity and logic).

Nearly any game can be made a math game, and writing games like Mad Libs are generally a hit and teach the parts of speech as well as sentence construction.

Good luck and Happy Teaching!
