He was born in Missouri, was a senator who was responsible for bringing to light the fact that a lot of companies that were making armaments during WWII were grossly over-charging the US government. He became F.D.R.'s vice president and became president when FDR died, on April 12, 1945. He made the ultimate decision to drop the A-bomb on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. He died December 26,1972.
