Great question!
Most schools, fortunately, have an orientation before school begins. At an orientation you can go through the school and see how it is set up. Some schools will even give you your schedule so that you can see where your classrooms are and practice finding them. If your future middle school doesn't do that, you can always go in during the summertime and take a walk-through.
The best thing about middle school is how many new friends you can make. Even if you are a little nervous about that, just think - everyone is in the same boat! You will all be starting something new together. I was pretty shy in middle school and wouldn't really approach someone unless they approached me and I loved how easy it was to make friends in middle school because there are so many more people from which to choose AND you meet people outside of the circle of people you knew through elementary school.
Going to middle school is a huge step, but an exciting one. You will be great! Don't worry!
I hope this helped. I wish you all the best! :o)

Not really, and usually most schools allow you for the first week to be late to your classes while your still finding them and getting used to getting from one class to another. Also some schools have core classes so that you will stay in the same classroom for say periods 1&2 or 3&4 or 5&6 and take two different classes there such as Language Arts and history so that the teachers can combine the lesson plans from both. And most of the time they have arranged the classrooms by grade level so you wont have to be running around campus to get from one place to another.
good luck!

Going to a different school is always wierd. Whether it's hard or not depends on you. Just don't worry too much and you'll be fine. If you're worried about getting to classes, then don't. You might not get it the first day or even the first week, but after you get used to it it's really easy. Plus if the teachers know that you're new they tend to understand if you're a little late or confused. Another thing that I found a lot of people worry about are lockers. Lockers are really easy. Like getting to your classes, lockers take a few tries to get, but once you get them there really easy. Just relax and have fun! Good luck!

I live in a small town, so its not very hard to get around. its scary at first though. they give you PLENTY of time to get from class to class. you can have anywhere from 4 to 8 minutes to get from class to class. don't be worried though, its lots of fun!

No, as long as you're organized and know what you are doing. If you are not the most responsible person and if you have trouble keeping track of things, you'll be in a bit of a problem. It's not too bad.
