Should the driver's license exam be as difficult as a single college course? Should it require 3-4 months of constant study so to let new drivers realize how important it is to know how to drive and all there is to know about being a car owner?

I think too many teenagers get their license way before they should. We are giving a license to operate a weapon so I think there should be a lot more than just a driving test. I really feel the age should be changed to 18 because most 16 year olds are way too immature and do not pay attention on the road. Plus most of them do not follow the provisional rules placed on them once they get their license.

The problem isn't really the exam. It's the people taking it. After they pass, they forget, or at least don't practice what they have proven they know. Responsibility is a very hard thing to test for accurately.

I don't know. Many college courses are jokes too. lol
I do think it should be harder and should cost more too.
Despite what many of my fellow US citizens think, Driving is NOT a right. It is a privilidge granted to far too many people who have no business behind the wheel.
