No one can say for sure. Some girls get them at 12, and others at 16. It all depends on your individual body clock. The average age is about 13. Periods don't usually start until a girl has reached her full height and is fully developed with hips and breasts. Be patient. It will come when the time is right.

You'll probably get it any time now.Ask yor mom and sisters when
they got theirs.Really everyone is different.You'll get it soon
enough and then it will come evry 28 days for many years.Believe
me you will get tired of it sometimes and wonder why you were so anxious for this to happen.Enjoy being a kid while you can
because once you grow up you can never go back.Best wishes

Words of wisdome (and I know that I sound just like every other person in this site), but it is not all fun. I know you stil can't wait and you don't believe me, but I was the same way. I thought I can't wait for my period, and I just got mine no at 14 and it is no fun.

No one on the computer can tell you when. it happens when it happens. usually for girls its from 8-15. im 13 and i already started. some peopl start when they're 8. some people when theyr'e 15. no one really knows for sure, and im sorry to say, but im not surprised that when i first saw this question, it had no answers. cuz i mean, how is any one supposed to answer that? "you're gonna start your period on december 13th 2007."??? you'll start when u start. and its not a "cool" thing, either. its meant for reproduction. its not a fashion thing that u want, cuz everyone else has it. people start theire period, when they've matured, and are ready to start their period.

Take your time, I got mine when I was your age, and look how short I became, for now, drink milk and eat a lot of things that kids like me hated, fruits or vegetables, trust me if you didn't do that you'll regret it when you get older. And don't worry, some people that I knew of, got it when they were 16 even, and it still is concidered as normal.

Could be anytime. Some girls don't start until they are 16, so you have to be patient. There is nothing you can do to make it come. Besides.....when it does come....soon you will wish you had been born a guy. LOL

ask all the wmone in your family when they got theirs and you do the average...my mom got hers at 13 and other women even younger...i got mine at 11..so it vaires but do that and u'll get the idea
