I remember As a kid fishing for crabs up home in Scotland.
My favorite places were, Saltcoats and Ardrossan in Ayrshire, I use to go to the end of Saltcoats pier next to a tower, you can see the crabs as clear as anything next to the rocks, the water was crystal clear.
Another of my fav places was the harbour pier at Rothesay Ise of Bute. I use to go right under the pier by climbing down the ladder.
The water was so clear you could see everything right to the bottom, I use to castch loads of crab under the pier and sell them o the local chinese restraunt. On day whilst under the pier, the water was level with the concrete section that I was standing on, I caught this huge crab and was bringing it up slowly when this bloody great conger eel came shooting out of this hole in the piers wooden construction, I nearlyyy had the crab to the surface when it shot up to grab the crab, it was only inches from me so I dumped my line and crab and scarpered up those steps like a bat out of hell. So if you want free orange line, there is about 100 feet of it under Rothsaey pier, its yours, I aint going back down there while that big bugger of a conger is there, no way, he was huge then, God knows how big he is now, maybee if I paid him a visit, he would have me for breakfast, you want that line , go get it yourself, good luck m8, he may want to dance with you, what do you recon? the conga? ha ha jimmy from essex england

Yes, I remember doing it, as I recall the line was on a wooden spool, like the ones you get for kites, and it had 3 or 4 hooks, I don't know if you can still get them, try asking in a seaside tackle shop though.

You can definitely get them in Beaumaris. Crab fishing with a line, a bucket and a bit of manky old fish. I remember that. Never caught much though.

Blimey! Yes.
Years ago, as a family we went to Newquay in Cornwall, and went rockpool fishing for crabs there.
That was 1972. I was 7.

Oh yes we used to fish with one of the pier in Cromer caught thousands of crabs in my time and it is a holiday tradition we resurected this summer when we took our neighbours daughter away with us. All she wanted to do was fish of the pier for crabs!
Wish i was there now!

Yes, go to Whitby, they are all there on the harbour with their crab lines, and they do catch quite a few.

hhhmm fantastically authentic .. they purely come about like noooo .. i imagine we'd want to continually by no ability imagine about them, yet although they are thoughts inspite of each and every thing which gonna stay on your mind like for a lengthy lengthy time period so there is no longer something you could do, yet distract your self in the route of something else ... and this happens with me each and every of the time .. i imagine maximum of my life i'm residing in my previous .. each and every from time to time i'm like oohh i should be extra contemporary than i'm lol Bq: very few .. my formative years .. yet again there's a lot unhappy linked to it so i continually attempt to distance myself from them .. Bq: Love thoughts been the worst in my life .. then if it became my family contributors, acquaintances or a guy ... i dont love each person no extra .... everyone betrays and leaves!...
