Michelle G., Just remember that, God said he will never destroy the world with water again, just remember that the next time you see a rainbow in the sky. Now when one speaks of fire? One thing is known only God knows when the end of our universe and our planet as we know it will be. So accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior > Start your journey on the right road and have fun; and let the Triune God take care of everything else.

for your information and you 'can' check it out, oceans are already rising, the ice masses in the north and south pole areas are disappearing faster than even the experts thought they could.
if you take even the rise of 6 inches in ocean levels, add a violent storm or storms, and consider how much more dangerous the ocean would be. look at a cup of water. the nearer the top, the easier to splash. the ocean, on the other hand, will not just 'splash', it will inundate any and all waterfront areas of the world, and will cause problems inland too, wherever the land is at or below sea levels.
one probability map that I have seen and tend to agree with, for north america, is the division of canada at the Hudson's Bay, James bay areas, due to rising arctic water levels and will continue south and will cause much greater damage in the U.S. possibly dividing it into three or more parts. neither country could counteract such an event quick enough not to create complete havoc.
it is now, allowing deserts to spread faster, changing the capabilities of large areas of the continents to produce food, to raise animals, etc.
in north america, when we can listen to messages of what to do in case of disasters, that we almost never heard since the end of the cold war, at least. now it seems that I for one seem to hear with quite a regularity. think about it. have those messages always been there? no.
but something is happening, even if we aren't being told. What would be the point if nothing can be done about it? panic and riots would not help even a little bit.

There are a thousand different things that can happen, none of which are good.
Deserts will grow and sea levels will rise. This will leave less workable land to grow food crops. The current workable land area is already struggling to support the 6 billion people who overpopulate this planet. Lack of food leads to low immunities and sickness. Sickness leads to epidemic disease. Many people will die of starvation, but most will die in the epidemics that will come afterward.
