Homosexuality occurs in nature, but that doesn't make it normal. Society deems what is normal and what is deviant, and with today's culture homosexuality is not normal.
Would I vote for a gay president? Probably not.

Yes, I think that it is. I do not believe that people choose to be homosexual. I believe this based on friends who are gay and common sense. Who would choose to be treated like homosexuals are by society?
Now, for the second question. Yes, I would vote for a gay male president if he were a great candidate. How he feels about the important issues, ect. are the most important things. I don't believe that we will have to worry about this anytime soon! I would think we would see a female president and a president of some race other than caucasian first,

Despite what all the religious types say - it would seem to be a natural occurrence....just look at all the gay people throughout history, many of whom have made extremely important contributions. To discount the achievements made by those who were/are gay would be to place us back in the Dark Ages.
As to the President - if he or she were qualified and the best person for the job, I wouldn't care if they did it with a German Shepherd.

NO and NO:
1. if being gay was natural....they would fit together. men and women are meant to be 'joined' , and they fit. guys don't fit together. and another thing--its like....not common....or up until now. this wolrd is soo corrupt and needs Jesus...and not homosexuallity.
2.no. i dont agree with homosexuallity ..therefore i wouldnt vote for someone that goes against what i believe. such as NJ's ex-govener. [i live in NJ]
*to arus.geo* please do not be offeneded....im not trying to be rude in ANY way...
if we were those animals then yes..but i dont see dolphoins walking down the street or working in buildings...do you? i may be wrong but let me say this--
animals do not have the same brains as us. they arae different. they dont talk, or even think like we do. a dolphin couldnt make up an iPod...or a computer...HUMANS think that way. not animals. therefore....i dont think your statement is accurate, because you cant compare to TOTALLY different things.

I have no problems with peoples choices they make as long as they do not invoke their philosophies on me...as far as president goes to me that a different ballgame...I don't know if I could respect a man enough that I didn't believe respected himself...and thats just the thing..I don't have to agree w/ your decision, but I believe it's the duty of all freedom fighters to respect the rights of the individual and to stand up for them should the time arise....you see how this travels in a circle?..it would be your obligation to respect my right to vote for whoever I choose for whatever reason...so we find mutual respect for one another...all peoples...call it the circle of freedom...it seems this circle has become broken lately w/ those who would try to gain by making hostile moves beyond that which would be necessary in my opinion...but that's a different question...

No it is not natural. I might vote for a gay president if he was able to keep his immoral behavior to himself but if I knew he was gay I would not vote for him. IMO it is a moral issue and I don't want people whose morals I don't approve of running the country and making the laws.

Of course I would, though I'm straight myself. His policies, and whether he can achieve them, are more important to me than what he does or doesn't do in his own bedroom. George Bush is a straight arrow too, but look at the mess he got us into. If a gay president could bring a fair peace to Iraq, isn't that better than simply being conventional?

No I would not vote for a gay man for President.
I do NOT think it is natural.
I think they spend too much time concentrating on being gay to effectively be in the spotlight under such scrutiny.
Clinton made oral sex a spotlight issue - what would a gay president do? I do not want to think about it.
ROSIE is too gay too. That is all she ever talks about now and I am sick of it. I won't watch that show anymore and I did email Barbara Walters and told her why.

Gay people are born gay. I would vote for a gay president if they didn't talk about being gay all the time. That's the one annoying thing about a lot of gay people.

1) homesexuality is a natural occurrence ( its found in dolphins, frogs, some primates, beetles, even penguins, ostriches). If its "not natural" then why do others in the animal kingdom share/display it?
2) yes, a persons sexual preference is not one to be held against him or her. the position of president of the US should be held to the same Equal Employment Opportunity standards where we dont discriminate on race, age, sex and sexual preference, or religious beliefs.
