There are hundreds, if not thousands, of uses for a book... It can be used as an educational tool, something to throw at someone while blinded by anger, something to stand on while trying to reach a high place, something to draw in...
Hm.. I'll get into the wacky side... a huge box of books (or crate, or whatever) carried Ms. Snicket to an island in The End-- through many violent sea storms... They can be used as black mail... Used as a tool to kill... For a fire...
I can go on and write a freaking book, but I won't.
