Without a shadow of a doubt. With the excellence in forensics, and the leaps and bounds in science today there really is no point in trying to get away with a murder,it cannot be done. To the posts that are saying "ooh, tricky one that...",or "it depends...",or "well,in certain circumstances...".....what planet are you on?-if you knew someone had taken the life of another person, there really is no other recourse BUT to report it surely...family or not.

Sadly yes. I would hate to be in that situation. But I think I would feel more for the grieving family or the person who has been lost at the hands of my child. There is a certain point line in which people always know what they are doing. I would definitely sit on my child's side of the courtroom.

yes, i would. i love my children unconditionally. I may not agree with their actions or choices but the the love remains constant. Through out the entire process of legal proceedings and what not - i would be there by his/her side. Honesty is ALWAYS the best answer - why would any parent want their child to live the rest of their lives with the guilt of murdering someone - face the issue, face the consequences and learn from your error.

I would have to say yes. It would be a hard thing to do but think how you would feel if it was your child, brother, sister, mother or father who had been killed. You would want closure and to see justice served. If you truly loved your child it would be the best thing to do for everyone. Hiding something like that would be stressful on everyone and would surely rip the family apart.

I don't know what I would do. I hope to never have to face that particular situation. I adore my son, but if he ended the life of another human being after I've given him the best of me and my moral and ethical codes......UMMM.....I DON'T KNOW! I really want to say yes, but I think that maybe I'd not report him. Oh jeez, I sincerely hope I never find out.

It would depend on circumstance, If thet had just done it for the hell of it I wouldnt report them but I would talk them into giving themselves up but if it was for a reason which could be classed as valid maybe i would not but whatever I would try to protect them as best I could after all they are your children.

Yes-without a doubt. It's the only right thing to do,and whatever the circumstances,it has to be reported.

Family first! Loyalty to kin and clan and damn the government! I'm appalled that so many just jumped in and said they would report it without so much as a second thought! What are the circumstances?? Was it justified? (self defense, defense of another) Who will look out for your best interest, your family (supposedly) or the government (i.e. police, judges, etc.)?

Yes, there are laws that are in place to govern and keep the peace, but you people would really turn in your own child??

In a flash. Obviously they would be in need of some form of anger control and hopefully would receive it while in custody. In addition just because they would be my child they grew up hopefully respecting human life more and so deal with the consequences of their actions.
