I wonder to myself: is the UK media reflecting public interest in the litvinenko case? Or just whipping up a storm for the sake of it?
Russia's 3 main television channels are reporting on our speculation about the death of former Russian intelligence officer, Alexander Litvinenko, from radiation poisoning.
"Panic in London" - state TV Rossiya
"Britain is on the brink of panic" - state TV Channel 1
Is this true? Are we this scared? Or is it the news merely full of hysteria about tiny traces of radiation found in planes and buildings?

Don't get me wrong: the findings are very important. This is tragic and God knows what political ramifications there are, whoever may have been responsible.
There are, however, no real implications for the UK public. Even the poisoner's chances of getting some form of cancer have only increased by a fraction of a percent. Unlike the unfortunate Litvinenko, who ingested a huge amount.
Anybody closely involved with this investigation needs to be careful. Anybody else doesn't need to worry about a thing. Calling 30,000 BA passengers is absurd.

I live just outside London and I agree with you.
