It's genetic and chemical. There have been numerous professional studies that have put the classification of homosexuality into a "born trait" and not a choice. It's just who you are.

Will you all stop ASKING us this!!! Learn to use a search button; this is asked multiple times a day. Sometimes multiple times an hour.

Now that that's out of my system...

I made no choice, I've always been equally attracted to men and women. I suppose some people could have chosen but I really, really, REALLY doubt it. I mean, you don't CHOOSE to be straight, why would you CHOOSE to be gay, or bi, or trans?

I think it's genetic, because I've relatives- raised very differently from me- who are also bi. However, as far as I know, there's no strong evidence one way or the other.

There's no proof that it is entirely genetic, although there seems to be evidence that it at least plays a part. It is probably a combination of genes and psychology/personality. Choice very little comes into it.

Hope that helps.

If you are heterosexual then you want to have sex with the opposite sex. Do you think you would choose to have sex with your own sex - -just for fun or to try it or for any other reason? Do you think homosexuals think any differently? They don't choose - just for fun or to try it or on a lark. It is what they are no less than you are what you are.

It's a combo of genetics and womb environment (hormones during devlopment) some small percentage may actually choose it, but I'm sure it's quite small.

All of the factors you've counted contribute to it, and it is different for every individual. But yet, there is one thing you haven't mentioned, love and intimacy are what really start you off
