no - she should have the x-ray done, obviously any type of radiation is going to pose a risk, but this is no more than what we are all exposed to everyday from say the sun's radiation.
I myself had an x-ray when i was just 2 months old and received no problems, I have never heard of a case in which there HAS been any problems in result of an x-ray.

They may discover something important to your childs health during the x-ray which they would not be able to otherwise, therefore you should get the x-ray, otherwise you are putting her more at risk...especially if (god forbid) there is something seriously wrong.
It is also worth pointing out that most conditions are easier treated when discovered in their earlier stages, so please do go ahead with the X-ray.
If you are STILL not convinced just ask your doctor...if it was a real risk they would not do it so readily.

As a registered radiologic technologist I actually have x-ray'd fairly some children/children for this reason. We do each and every thing we can to reduce publicity. the quantity of publicity the youngster recieves mostly is a similar as an afternoon contained in the sunlight on the coastline. the danger/earnings ratio also signifies that you ought to get an x-ray to make sensible it isn't lodged someplace which will reason fecal impaction or perforation of bowel. both actually one of those situations will be very severe, one or 2 x-ray exposures are unlikely to do something, fantastically compared to the wear and tear and tear a digestive tract difficulty might want to reason.

She'll be fine; the only time an x-ray is of concern is when the baby is still developing in utero.

X-rays technically aren't safe for anyone. After all, they are a type of high-frequency radiation, proven to cause DNA damage. Then again, how else will they see her chest?

xrays are totally safe.

the problem lies in when they attempt to take too many xrays in a short number of days. like doing more than 5 in one day.
this is just too much .
but plez check with what I said with what your doctor tells you. He will know better than me.
But this is my understanding of it.

they will put a shield on his chest more than likely, and your baby will be fine.
