Hi,

I was having intercourse and when we parted the only thing left was the base of the condom. I was embarrassed and didnt want to say anything so I kind of just went home. I was wondering if I should call her and tell her to look for the other half because I was wondering if it would cause a problem with her vagina.

It will fall out but the main concern will be having unprotected sex.

Well the biggest concern is that the condom FAILED! You could become a father or have contracted/given her an STD.

You should definitely call her. If the condom is still in her vagina this could cause problems for her including bleeding, discharge, cramping and infections.

Also, both you and her should be tested for STDs and she should definitely have a pregnancy test. The most critical development for a fetus is in the first trimester, so the earlier she knows the better. Or, if she's considering other options, like the morning after pill, she'll need to take that right away.

You need tell her. If it broke early there's a chance your strokes pushed the other piece deep inside near the cervix. If it broke late not long before you finished, then the other piece may be shallow, just inside the opening. If its shallow she may have found it already and if its deep its probably still there. It needs to be taken out ASAP, the longer its in there the more likely she'll get an infection.

This is especially important if she can't wear tampons and has to wear pads during her period for medical reasons. My last girlfriend couldn't use tampons because she was more susceptible to the effects of toxic shock from the build up of bacteria and microbes that feed on the blood. If the girl you were with is the same way she could potentially die from the infection since the latex provides surfaces for the bacteria and microbes to build up on. So like I said, tell her ASAP!

In either case there's a chance you just got her pregnant. She needs to know that the condom broke so that she can possibly benefit from emergency contraception.

Hi, Wayne..

Yes! Call her! The condom won't get lost up in her body, but it might not come out on it's own for awhile...she really needs to fish it out. It could cause an infection if she's got it up in there and doesn't know! But...the main thing is...she's unaware that she could get pregnant and you've both had an exposure to possible STD's. Call her now!

Good luck

You should tell her! If its still in there it can cause bad infections. I know it has to be embarrassing but you owe her that. Good luck....

Yes, you need to tell her. If it doesn't come out immediately, she could end up with an infection. If it does come out, she may be mad that you didn't tell her.
