There were several giant lizards back in those time like the Komodo Dragon. Some Knights did travel to some strange lands. Was it possible for someone to meet a Komodo or some of lizard that size is very possible. The rest is pure imagination that some Knights told to enhance their own glory. The T-Rex's were long gone by that time period............ But then again is some of those strange lands that have never been explored, A ancestor may have still existed. For you have to remember that not many Knights could read or write at that time period and every story that they ever told was truly exaggerated on by them and other story tellers of that time period......................... As for gaint snakes they still exist up to this day and age...............

If you are referring to the many pictures and tales of knights fighting dragons, these dragons are a myth. The dragon serves as a sumbol of evil in Western literature. This symbol originates from Satan coming to Adam and Eve in the form of a snake. As an interesting sidenote, dragons symbolize fortune, wisdom, and strength in many Eastern cultures.

there are theories that some giant lizards still existed and that's where the dragon stories come from - at that time there was still a lot of undiscovered land - they could have still been around - explorers are finding primitive tribes even today - I think it's impossible for any of the dinosaurs to not make it thru -

The correct answer is neither.

The only thing that medieval knights fought was each other.
