I know he doesnt have the best chance but i sure hope he's elected because if he doesnt win then we have to put a horrible candidate in office.
Who would you rather have in office?
Condoleezza-Hell no
John McCain- ok but not the best choice
Hilary- God i hope not
Obama is the best choice b/c even though he's a democrat he more moderate than most democrats which makes him an ideal cadidate. As a fairly conservative republican I would Vote for Obama and I kno others in my party who would too.

If he stays in the Senate, 2008 will be his best chance to win. Historically, senators don't do very well in presidential elections. Governors tend to have an easier time getting elected. As for your question, I don't know much about his positions, so I'm withholding judgement at this point.

He is a good speaker and has a good political future. However, I think he is politically empty and goes to events only to shine because he is a rock star. Obama doesn't look like a serious politician but more as hype.

I'd love to have him as President in 2012 after he gets a bit more experience under his belt. But it's a good sign that he looks this strong right now.

Not much since, so far, he won't answer substantive questions about serious policy issues.
In addition, the guy just showed up and now he wants to be President - can't accuse him of lacking a large ego, can we?!?

Extremely intelligent, was a U.S. Constitutional Law Professor, so he understands Diplomacy, and he thinks and speaks intelligently. Most of all, he THINKS before he speaks.
He's a devoted family man who adores his wife and children.

Standard Democrat platform, and inexperienced. He's a junior senator in Illinois and wouldn't have got that far in many states.

Too inexperienced, maybe in 10 years. In my opinion I hope he doesn't get elected.
