Ya know I got on here one day to ask a question about IM {that never got answered} and I answered a question from someone that seemed really depressed. My reason for answering these questions is in hope to help someone. My family has a history of depression and it took someone very dear to me. When I see stupid answers like "go get stoned" it really bothers me that that person may actually take that advice. So I guess my answer is to try and help people!!

I have no idea it's like an addiction. Like right now I have a 40 oz I should be drinking but no, I am answering this question. I spend way to much time asking pointless questions. Maybe some where deep in our brains we actually think were helping them out some how maybe.

Points. Honestly, it's points. I used to care to help people, and sometimes I do want to help people. When it's people asking stupid questions (abortion, gay rights, etc) I just answer to get points.
It's a terrible reason, but there has to be a seperation between the internet and real life. If I didn't seperate it, I would care TOO much.

It's a way to pass time without spending any money & getting out of the house on cold snowy days. I think most about most the people on here ask questions they really need an answer to.

In a weird way, it's kinda like a video game... just trying to rack up the points. Kills time, too

I want to help people.
Give some enlightenment to some confused people as best I can.
I am challenged by building up my points.
It is very good for the mind. It stimulates your mind and very informative too when you read other people's answers

Because I like to interact with others in a fun forum & even though it's mostly not serious, it always makes me feel good to offer good advice when I can...especially if it helps someone else along the way.
