hmm...is this phrase true or not?& has anyone actually experienced this in real life?

cos just yesterday,i told my 3 month crush that i like him & his reply was "i would have said yes,but i'm not looking for a relationship right now & i like someone else too"....& the worst part was that he was so sweet abt it,he tried to make me feel good,he even stayed with me when i told him i wanted to talk(that made him miss one of his favourite events too-felt sory abt that afterwards,i should have just let him go) & we ended up talking for more than an hour.it was fun!

i keep wishing that he would have acted like a jerk, then it would have been so much easier to get over him.lol, but this is reality & that wasn't the way it happened.

so,i just want to know if this saying is true cos i really want to get over him(mainly cos i'll be seeing him a lot-at school, during the hols etc.)

thanks for all the answers! :^)

i think the saying is true, it generally applies to most couples though after they date for a while. i mean think about it. you are with them, things don't quite work out so you go and experience other things. then u or he realizes that you really do want to be with the other person so if they come back then it is meant to be. but, if you or he move on, then it was not meant to be and everything happens for a reason. good luck with the whole getting over the crush thing. all i know is old crushes die hard

An ex once mentioned that to me when I was breaking up with him. 3 years later I realized I wanted him back and was still in love but he was commited to someone else. I didn't interfere. They broke up and my truth came out to him but he's still obsessed with his ex even though he still has feelings for me. But I still believe it to be true. Fate can work in strange ways sometimes. I'm still waiting on him though it may be idiotic.

If he comes back you've either fallen in love with a boomerang or athlete's foot. Both of which have a tendency to return.
