chromatic means 'colourful' - yes previous answers are correct about using all the balck n white notes next to each other. a scale is just next notes so 3 notes next to each other played one after the other is a scale. chromatic has nothing to do with keys as there are so many accidentals.

The Chromatic scale is every half step in one octave (or more), i.e. from C to C you would play C, C#, D, D#, E, F, F#, G, G#, A, A#, B, C

It is a scale of half steps on an instrument. Li mine would be c, c#, d#, E, F, F#, G,G# you get the point

Whole notes and the notes in between. On a piano it would be all the white and black keys.
