Sup, it looks like wreslting is never going to reach the success it did in nineties during the monday night war days but with the decline in interest for pro-wreslting does that mean wrestling as we know is fading away little by little. WWE continues to decline in revenue sales and television ratings and Vince Mcmahon hasn't seemed as worried as I think he should be. I think Vince is comfortable with the success he's had over the course of his life as chairman of the WWE, but what does this mean mean for wrestling ?. TNA the self proclaime future of wrestling has been gaining more interest little by little but i think its more so old wcw, old ecw, and wreslting fans they never liked the WWE and hate Vince that are tuning in to TNA. That said, with ECW still having higher ratings then TNA I don't see them ever becoming a wrestling juggernaut like WWE, matter of fact I don't see them getting much bigger then they are now.

I'd like all wreslting fans (even you Bill ) to get on this topic and tell me what you think will happen with the future of wreslting in this country. Will it die ? or will it survive ?
Personally I still have MMA so i'll suvive. ( wink, wink )

Matthew i agree that pro-wrestling will stillbe around for years to come. But star trek and techno music is still around too. Just because something is still around doesn't mean it has any life.

Wrestling has been around for more than 100 of years, even the ancient Romans wrestled. The WWWF was runned during the 1920's and it is still running now and it goes by the name of WWE.WWWF was bought out from father to son, much like a inheritance.Vince McMahon practically grew up in wrestling,he started to run the business when he was a teenager.I think Vince knows how to deal with these things. The WCW and WWE were losing quite alot of money during the Monday Night War,although wrestling was most popular then. They have to put PPV main events in regular shows and putting on speciality matches every week.Vince hated the Monday Night War because he was losing too much money, the ratings and Vince's brain was keeping the WWE alive. So Vince and then Shane will never let pro wrestling die.WWE faced WCW,ECW and AWA and won,TNA is no different from WCW,ECW and AWA and they'll eventually lose to WWE.

Vince McMahon has killed wrestling as I knew it. I grew up in the time of the territorries. Up until the eighties the business was divided into sections. You had one promoter over each area. Wrestlers would wrestle in an area and then move on to another area. Talent didn't get stale that way. Vince tore down the boundaries and started promoting nation wide. He promoted WWF/E not the workers. Personally, I enjoy the old NWA style of wrestling over the crap presented by WWE, ECW(new) and TNA. MY suggestion is that we quit paying Vince and start supporting our local wrestling promotions. You'd be surprised at the talent you can find locally.

I think If WWE and TNA start to feud then It would be a start of another attitude era. That would be cool. And It's been my life long dream to wrestle in the WWE so If the interest is declining (yeah right) then I have a better chance of being successful.I personaly think that the WWE is just trying to get into in hollywood spotlight and they don't know that the fans don't want that.I think they will wake up one day.

Yeah because of the fact the WWE isn't a "wrestling" advertising, that's a television drama placed in a expert wrestling putting, with the actors doing their very own stunts. each thing is created via a set of "writers", the stunts ("wrestling" fits) are deliberate out and choreographed right down to the digicam angles, dumbed-right down to truly purely some punching and kicking, speedy "combat scenes" (to further the phantasm that the WWE is a wrestling advertising) to get out of ways so as that they are in a position to enhance the plot strains with at the back of the scenes skits, prolonged "promos", "ambushes", skits in the hoop, etc. professional wrestling nonetheless exists, around the globe. however the WWE isn't something like it. Vince spent 2 many years and a lot of money killing the wrestling business enterprise in the 80's and ninety's, snuffing out promotions stunning and left employing any potential he could desire to, trustworthy or foul, criminal or no longer, and retraining the North American followers to have faith that his television dramas he calls "activities entertainment" is professional wrestling. The "WWE universe" is so confident of that that they gained't watch the rest and could merely mindlessly blindly push aside different promotions as "sucks". MMA, specifically UFC, is extra "professional wrestling" than something the WWE does. considering that's extra like professional wrestling, and does not communicate right down to the followers with juvenile "tale strains" and dumbed-down in-ring action, UFC's fan base merely retains growing to be mutually as Vince struggles to make certain why, and why his very own product is dropping followers. i do no longer blame the WWE for the close to-loss of existence of expert wrestling. I blame the fool in value of it. this is HIS "innovative and prescient" this is dominating the airwaves, combating professional wrestling from getting this is share of the television spots.

exactly how can ecw beat tna, tna is way way better than the new ecw and the wwe and tna could be the next wcw hopefully. and people just tune into tna because wwe has gotten so horrible and so gay and so predictable. its why people stop watching it.

It'll still be around, but i dont think it will ever be as strong as the NwO days back at Monday Nitro. MMA orgs such as the UFC and Pride will take over because the fighting is real and its still growing strong

pro-wrestling will never die. yes, it may not reach the peaks of the late nineties but this was life before wwe, and there will be life after wwe. whatever scale it is, pro-wrestling will always be there.
