Every evening write down three blessings.

when I first started doing this my blessing were in this order.

I can walk.
I have rice in the cupboard. (I wont starve)
I am breathing.

I laugh now because I was so shortsighted.

Volunteer for one hour, one day a month for a cause you care about. This is not supossed to add 1 more thing to your busy life just more thing to your soul. It will also help you recognise your blessings.

Put at least 5 dollars in a saving account each month, every month no matter what! Then never touch it! This is peace of mind. Then pay a little on every single bill you have no matter what each month, even if it is only a dollar. This is integrity.

Finally, smile at every single person you see for the first 4 hours of every day. Smile even if they do not smile back, smile even if they are rude, smile even if you have to force it! This is charming.

Do these things every day without fail and without fail you will become HAPPY-Stress less- and Wonderfully Charming.

"Fake it until you make it."

It sounds strange, but essentially this the key to pulling yourself out of a depression. In other words, make yourself go through the motions of living your life - smile when you know you're supposed to, get out of bed when you know you're supposed to, eat when it's time to, etc. Eventually there will come a moment when you realize that you forgot to fake it and genuinely enjoyed that moment. Gradually those moment will come more and more often. However, if the depression last for more than a couple of weeks or keeps coming back (or if you have come to believe that suicide is a viable option), then it's time to get some professional assistance. If you are just feeling "blue" or in a funk, and this only happens every once in a while, then this is common and nothing to be concerned about. In fact, if there is no real cause for feeling down, it can be therapeutic to admit that you're having a blue day and do something out of the ordinary to pamper yourself (rent a real tear jerker movie and totally indulge :o) Hope this helps.

I'm sorry....if I could I would hug you. I know what you mean. In fact, a lot of us know what you mean. Try to find the source of your sadness. Don't spend alot of time alone. When it hits you, it is hard to motivate yourself to do anything. But try, try to go out and be around people with a good sense of humor. You will have to make an effort to change things, a strong effort to find what is burdening you. It is so hard to shake it sometimes but I am proud of you for looking for an answer. Don't stop doing that.....I promise if you make a sincere effort to try to find your happiness in life you will. Remember, you are not alone in this world, most folks at some point in their lives have to tackle it, but don't give up searching for your happiness. There is hope for a better tomorrow so stay strong and may God bless you in your search.

Try doing some exercise routine at least three times a week. Exercise releases endorphins which are the feel good hormones.

Highly recommended: - Yoga, pilates, jogging

Also drink lots of water and cut out sugar as much as possible.
