A magazine subscription? Even if they seem to have everything, an extra magazine arriving each month would be a pleasant addition!

Have you thought of something homemade? Why not pick the latest movie you know they will like and put it in a gift basket with all the goodies that go along with a movie night...popcorn, candy, snacks that you make yourself, i.e., homemade popcorn balls and maybe homemade fudge and little candies and cookies. Finish off the basket with some nice cellophane and a ribbon at the top. Might cost you under $50, never know. Prayers =)

Honestly, a few gift cards to restaurants are the way to go. I have found that w/my in-laws & grandparents, they are always pleased with this gift. If they are on a budget, it gives them a chance to get a night out. Or maybe 1 card for each in-law, like one to Bass Pro Shops for your Father-in-law for $25, and another to your mother-in-law's favorite store. Good luck!

Why don't you ask your husband to help you. You put together a movie of there life. Using old and recent pictures or videos. If you have kids you can do one of your kids. Something that comes from the heart will show how much you care.

Indoor/Outdoor thermometer. The one that you put a remote receiver outdoors and it send the temperature to a digital screen indoors. If you live where it is cold in Winter this is a good one. I love mine that my children got last year.

Something frivolous, because you can't compete in terms of money or originality and neither should you.

Maybe offer to make them a meal or something different like buying them a goat to go to a poor country.
