I would normally say take your time and study a little bit each night starting about a week in advance. But, it sounds like they may be tomorrow, so an allnighter might be the answer.

If you have an outline of stuff you are supposed to know, be sure to focus on that because the majority of the questions should come from that. Also, if you tooks notes in class, look at those. There isn't much of a point of trying to read through a whole text because you won't remember any of it.

Write yourself some questions from the outline or notes on a notecard. One question per card. Write the answer on the back, and then use them like flashcards until you know the answers inside out.

The other thing I might suggest is hitting the subjects you think you are worst at the hardest. If you already know something pretty well, you are just wasting time studying it over.

Hi,
You should make a schedule for urself, not only writing writing a schedule but this schedule should be appropriate for you. what I mean, that the things that you will write in the schedule should be studied and not just for writing it.
Moreover, you should take naotes on the important issues in order to come back to it afterwards.
Always reflect on what you have studied, it is really a good way to see if you have really understood the subject you are studying.

Note: If you found something hard and complicated while studying, read it before you sleep, and while you are sleeping your unconcious will think of it and learn it more, and directly reread it in the morning when you wake up, and you will be really surprized how it will be easier and stick more to your mind.
Wish I have been helpful.

The best way to study for finals is a little bit everyday, some people can cram for tests and do just fine, but to really retain the material you need to learn it a little every day.

Take notes, use a recorder to record the prof's lectures, make outlines, read the material, get a tutor and study it over and over and over again.

Well, I always go and take thorough notes in my classes, and always attend (unless there are circumstances that will not allow me to attend). I always go back and re-copy my notes before the final. About a week ahead of time. If I write it down I retain it more than if i just sit there and read notes over and over again.

There is no short cut for obtaining success. You should work hard from the beginning to have faith and confidence in you so that you would not stay overnight at the last moment. Have a good vision and I hope this should help you.

it's all about the note taking. If you take awesome notes in class, the writing down will help it stay in your memory so then you just have to read over your notes. This will help you in college too. Notes are everything.
If it's too late and you didn't take any then start outlining the chapters in the books. It will help you realize whats important.

You answered your own question. GET SLEEP!! If you need to study for several hours for your exams, take a two hour nap every 4 to 6 hours. Also, allow for at least 6 hours of sleep before the exam. Break a leg. ;)

first of all, you should have been studying all along. given that you probably didn't, then you need to maximize your learning and minimize the time it takes to do so
thoughts:
skim the material and jot down notes on flash cards
read your notes into a tape recorder
when shopping, read your flash cards
when driving, listen to your tapes
when sleeping, listen to your tapes

better get busy...

I like using note cards and/or making my own flash cards. But there is not way to get around putting lots of time into getting good grades.

Study a good chunk, maybe a chapter. Then take a BREAK. Without breaks your mind will get jarbled and it will be more difficult to remember things.
