As my great-grandmaw would say, "People fear what they don't understand."
Also, the Bible says it's wrong. I was raised in the South, where Sunday church was non-negotiable. I've heard many sermons on the subject. God knows what each of us will do and be when we are made, so God knows whether or not we will be homosexual, just as He knows if we will be man or woman, tall or short, green eyed or brown.

Jake,
Please don't be so fast to lump all Christians as gay-gashers. I am a Christian and straight, but I am for gay rights 100% and would march in a gay pride parade in a second. My Jesus did NOT preach prejudice against gay people.

essay wont change anything, nor i would want to persuade any1 to accept homusexuals. If in your heart you cant accept any human being who is different from you but does you no harm, no words of persuassion can ever change it.
it's much better to have an empty heart than a closed one.

Religion......the bible........christians.......
It says things in the christian bible that some people believe is about homosexuality. (it's not.....but that's another forum).
This makes christians feel superior to gays.
In actuality, they have dirty minds.
They're the ones thinking of homosexual sex-acts.....they're the ones with the dirty minds..........

For those of The True Christian Faith it is not the homosexual who is opposed... The acts that homosexuals perform are what are the abominations to God... All, even homosexuals, may come to God as He proscribes and receive His free gift of Salvation.... but it must be in God's way... not some way an individual feels is "right" for him.

Well I'll start this off by letting you know I'm straight. However, I know a lot of gay people and have no problem with them or their life style. My problem is when it is constantly thrown in your face. Gay Pride Parades, Will and Grace, Gay Marriage, ETC.

I think they are because they are not used to that type of thing. Because of the way they were raised.
