I live in East Sussex and currently receive four channels on analogue TV, i.e. BBC1, BBC2, ITV1 and Channel 4. I have checked the Freeview site and that tells me that I can now receive Freeview BBC1, BBC2, BBCi and BBC24news only. My question is if I purchased a digital TV now, would I lose access to ITV1 and Channel 4 as they are apparently not available on Freeview here as yet?

It's very important to have the correct aerial. In some areas you have to fit the proper wideband aerial. If you rely on the old antenna you won't get all the available stations.

Are you employing a splitter?? Or a distinctive antenna for each television.?? sign potential is extremely significant for digital television reception.. in case you have a susceptible sign, you get no longer something... while you're employing a splitter, get an amplifier, a minimum of 10DB...(reliable variety!!) additionally, one television, probable the pointy, does not have one among these super tuner.. A nicely designed QAM digital tuner is paramount....you are able to lose 3 db. or extra with a splitter.!

On my DTV, if its switched off, the analogue signal comes through. I found that adding a signal booster near the aerial gave me dozens more channels on DTV, including radio channels.

You must have poor reception, what happened to ch.5. A digital box gives you extra channels, it does not take any away. Remember you must have a digital aerial as well as the box.

You would get ITV 1 and 2,3 and 4 too.

Every channel you mentioned and so much more are available as standard on free view.
