She just had a summer love, and now she has to leave... So, she left her boyfriend a letter stating When you hear Tim McGraw, or any of his songs for that matter" she hopes he thinks of her and the moments they shared that summer... Because she'll be thinking of him..

The song came to her mind in math class one day. If you didn't already know, she's sixteen. She had spent a wonderful summer with a great guy whom she really loved. But now that summer was coming to an end, they would be going their separate ways. She wrote the song as a reminder that when he heard Tim McGraw to think of her and their summer together. That is the song they danced to!

This song is about a girl remembering a relationship she had and all of the things that they did. I believe in the song she is conveying that Tim McGraw is her favorite singer, and that whenever her ex boyfriend hears (thinks) Tim McGraw, he thinks of her and everything they once had.
