Failed big time. Its already been decided by the military & the majority in Congress that imposing democracy on Iraq won't work. There are 2 many religious factions & clans who are bitterly opposed to other factions & clans.

As great as a democracy is I don't think we can shove it down the throats of countries who are against that system of government. I also think that we shouldn't even try. I guess Bush wanted to be able to say, "See. I made their lives better" to justify the war he began.

The idea of Bush is to stay in Iraq untill it becomes a pro American and pro Israeli democracy. That is what he keeps referring to as "the job".

yes, if Iraq becomes an anti American and anti Israeli dictatorship the democrats will have succeeded.

1 of it's objectives. Saddam is out of power. That was 1 objective. They can'y threaten us with WMD's that's another.
