good question. I've been wondering about that for a very long time.
i hate this reputation. even when we say something "smart" we're still dumb. i bet a brunette made it up. dumb brunettes.
dosn't matter, blondes have more fun
P.S. Paris Hilton is an embarrassment to all blondes.

Males are considered dumb if they are blonde. It is just not as prevalent.
I know this started back in the days of golden hollywood.
Actresess like Marylin Monroe, with their stupid acts. Which were done for a male audience who wanted the 'beautiful blonde' to be dumber than a doornob. Add the fuel to the fire with comic strips like "Blonde" and you have the daily fair of americans.
btw: I am a natural blonde.

Thank Hollywood for that.Years ago that was considered sexy to be blonde and dumb. Now it just looks dumb, example Jessica Simpson, Paris Hilton. They give all women a bad name. Blonde men are not considered dumb because they don't act that way.

I believe Goldie Hawn got the blonde joke thing started back in the seventies on the "Laugh in " show. It has just snow balled since then. I find most of the jokes stupid.
