A co-worker caught the end of something on tv and didn't hear all of it. She googled it and couldn't find anything about it. I told her I would post it here because I had never heard of anything about it.

No, that was on some dumb anti-drug commercial. Not funny or incredibly inspiring.

LOL. No this was an anti drug commercial. It was intended to link something that was crazily stupid to teens willingness do to anything and the viewer was meant to come to the conclusion that most teens do drugs because everyone around them is, even though it is stupid. Apparently putting leeches on your body is not unbelievable for some people. Heres a little secret, not everything on tv is true, especially commercials. You might want to try to be a little less gullible.

I've never heard of it being a new trend with kids. I only know the medical reasons for using leeches. If the kids are using them maybe they're getting high off of them by feeling light headed from blood loss or something.
