Hello
I'm in the process of building a kid friendly website and I want it for young kids learning how to read (I self-published my daughters book) I wanted to get some input on what you or your small children like in websites. I'm thinking about adding some pictures that could get printed and colored. and maybe a question and answer page...
Thanks!

What do I think about the website (as a parent AND a teacher)?

Three things:

1. Your daughter is adorable and her artwork is really good!
2. The site is easy to navigate - I like that you kept it simple, but attractive. Kids will appreciate that they can make their way through it when exploring, too.
3. The effort and time you obviously are putting into it and your daughter's passion says a LOT about you as a parent. She is lucky to have you as her advocate, encouraging her talents!

I really like your idea of pictures that site visitors can print for coloring. You could also have step-by-step how-to directions from Sunshine for drawing one of her favorite characters or pictures. One other thing you could include would be a brief letter from Sunshine to children who are also aspiring authors or artists. It would be a great encouragement for other young people to pursue their dreams.

I hope this feedback helps. Wonderful site! Congratulations to your daughter for her success; you must be so proud.
