That's like asking which is the best car. Everyone is going to have a different opinion on which is better. It depends on what you're going to use it for is my opinion. I like XP.

In making your decision just remember that the market share for Windows based computers is over 90% and Apple's is less than 10% (probably close to 8%). There is a significant amount of programs made for the Windows platforms compared to apple, plus repair shops, knowledge, etc. If you want XP programs then why not just use an XP based machine and not have to deal with the learning curve of an Apple?

Yep, you can dual boot your Apple with Windows XP (purchased separately) and run XP programs. I'm not an expert on this because I don't own an Apple, so I'm sure someone else will give a better explanation. Unless you really fall in love with an Apple laptop, I would say you're better off sticking with XP since Apple laptops are more expensive plus the added cost of buying XP.

i'd say Windows XP, just because it has way more software. There really isn't any 3rd party anything for Apple...

No, you need special "Mac" games to play on Apple comps.
