Get the GED and start doing something with your life.

If you want to graduate, stay in school. A high school diploma looks better to employers than a GED, with a ged, it makes you look like you dropped out and resumed later in life.In Indiana you can legally quit when your 16. I always thought people were "stupid" for quitting then. By that time you're (usually) a sophmore and only two years to go, why waste 10 years over 2 years. Those two years will go by faster than you think. I dreaded h.s. and I was told those 4 years will go by faster than I thought. They sure did. I graduted and time gets going by faster. Go back and finish, don't be sorry,it's hard to find a job with a college degree, let alone a h.s. diploma or none at all.

It is always great to stay in schooll b/c of the moments that you'll experience, specially high school. I understand that you flunked, and you must feel old compared to the other students. All I can tell you is that if you are really commit ed to getting your GED, then go ahead, but if not then don't do it because then you'll lose focus in your goal, and get sidetracked. Your high school experiences will always be something to cherish, and you won't experience the same things if you happen to get your GED. Check out the pros and cons and then decide. Don't go by your impulses. Think about it clearly, and also think about your future. Remember that your education is everything. Hope that I could help.

I did not graduate as a senior, so I had to stick around myself. That was about 15 years ago. I was horrible in school. Today I work as an application developer for a major computer company. I am 4 classes away from a college degree.

Sometimes you either "get it", or you don't, but that doesn't mean you won't if you stick with it. GEDs are for people that have not invested in all the years of school you have; they are for the mentally challanged and illegal aliens.

Stick with it and hang in there. You will be glad you did, even though it may be harder and your pride might get hurt a little when you see your friends graduate before you. It's going to be worth it.

Though a GED is supposed to be equivalent to a high school education - employers do not see it that way.

You need to get an education that others will be able to recognize, or they won't offer you good jobs.

Graduating from your high school is still considered better than getting a GED. A GED sort of announces that you flunked or failed for some reason, and had to go back. Getting your high school diploma a little late - who is going to know, if you don't tell them? And employers can't ask if you got it late.

If you are so smart that you can pass a test righ now and complete your senior year - then drop out. If you know you can't pass that test, then be advised that you have to go to classes to qualify in these areas to be able to take the GED. -Just Like School; Huh-. Employers like a Diploma a lot more than a GED. And if you have to be in class to get either, then Stay In School. Dropping out is actually just as Stupid as they say it is.

Stay in school. A g.e.d tells you nothing but you you tried; it rubs in the fact that you didn't finish school-- another statistic. Do you want to be a statistic? Stay in school!!
