My mother dreams in black and white, and I dream in color. I guess it could be she just doesn't remember the colors. It's not like she's old, though.

It mainly means you are in deep illusion and you are good at manifesting your illusion the way you like it to look. This world is an illusion and the dream state is just an illusion in the illusion. The content of the dream is more important than the color. Normally, we don't think of color when we dream and therefore, we call it black and white. However, if we remember there are colors in our dream, that only means your dream has additional detail of the meaning.

For example, you remember well RED is in your dream, that could mean alert, danger, WHITE dress you remember could symbolize perfection, pure. and so on...

I have never heard of that. I would think everyone dreams in color.
