I just started my new job a week ago and already today we drew names for our holiday gift exchange. The woman I drew is in her 30-40's and I can't spend more than $20 dollars on her according to the rules. What are some good ideas for a simple gift?

I hate work gift exchanges!

But some good ideas: coffee/tea/cococa sampler, soup/bread mix, gift certificate to the movies/resturaunt in your area, gift certificate to a book store.

Good luck

Hi Jamie, Maybe a nice box of assorted chocolate candy. If you don't like that, you can always give a gift certificate for jc penny's,or sear's. All are a nice gift.

Go to Winners or a similar place and get a nice pair of gloves in a neutral colour, or a scarf. If you don't feel comfortable getting her something to wear -- as you're not sure what her fashion prefs are -- get her some nice lip balm, moisturizer, etc. Or a funky Christmas ornament!

does she like coffee? A nice gift basket would be great. Just ask someone who has been there a while , what her likes and dislikes are.

Get her a nice photo frame that she can display on her desk (if she has one). Or a nice scarf since it's winter.
