Yes, I am with them and I enjoy it and love the products. There is alway possitive and negative reactions on every company. Melaleuca is 21 years old and if you check with the BBB you will find they are in good standing. They have been an Inc. 500 company, have won several rewards as a good solid company. Wheather you are able to succeed is up to you. Everyones different, but at least with Melaleuca you can't lose anything. You really can get a full refund if it doesn't work out for you. They have a 95% reordering rate, and that is because the products are great and if you don't like something you can send back the empty bottle and still get a full refund. Melaleuca is all about the support you get. Really the people who have trouble are the ones with an enroller that doesn't help them step by step but also there is a phone number for business builders so they can get information right from the company. Very nice people and my experience has been very down to earth. It's also the least expensive company I could find that was legitimate and they have a wide range of products that make it easier. Give it a try for 2 months and if it doesn't work out you can send everything back and not lose anything. Melaleuca is about people and it truely does try to help everyone. I hope it helps you. You are welcomed to email me if you'd like to ask for anymore second opinions and I have nothing to gain from you since you already have someone to represent you. Good luck.
Also I would like to add I have not signed up a single family member or friend. I will buy for them anything they want (for my mom I buy alot) but I don't feel any need to sign them up because I do well without that. I don't chase people down. I will speak to them and give them all the facts and then let them do all the research and answer questions is they wish to contact me. But if they are not interested I don't force anything. I don't feel a need to because I have enough people who are interested. If you start this business I hope you will do the same. Allow people to think about it. It's a decision they must make, but hey with offers like this month of $100 in free products and a full return policy you can feel confident that you with a good company.

I had to laugh at some of the answers above me. I mean come on guys don't give the ASKER of this question errored info lol. Because then someone like me that is familiar with Melaleuca will come along and win best answer for my honesty. I gaurantee you I'll get best answer.
Here's the facts gang..
I'll tell you what Melaleuca is. They are a manufacturing company. I read above where some folks said you sell products and deliver them and they compare this co. with others. You can't really do that and the folks that say that are in error when they say that.
There is no such thing as sellers or distributors in Melaleuca just customers.
The folks get a membership, sometimes free like this month of December 2006 it's free to join, and they can buy wholesale directly from the factory.
I saw the price list and it is real. I won't write a novel here but for example if someone is using TIDE laundry detergent it has carcinogens in it and is 25% more expensive than Melaleuca's.
If someone is using Windex window cleaner for example that is 2 times more expensive than Melaleucas.
The company earned over 700 million dollars last year and are based in Idaho.
They have over 1000 customers joining per day on average. This month they'll have more than that.
The company gives a product satisfaction gaurantee where folks are either pleased or they get a full refund.
When asked what they liked most about Melaleuca the customers actually said..and I quote:
* Products cost less than 80% of the store brands
* Products are better quality
* Products are safer as they don't have all the poisons like the stores do
* The company gives all members in usa 10% back in free products every month. In Canada they get 13% back
* They have a unique referral program similiar to what Bank of America is doing in a way.
My bank is giving all its customers $100 if you refer someone to them and they open an account.
Melaleuca does the same thing but better. They pay you monthly incomes every time the customers buy things.
Melaleuca does not make plastic bowls or high priced items like some of the folks have said above. (I get kinda suspicious about folks that would do that...hmmmm maybe they are in some mlm deal??? Could it be lol?) The people above are obviously in other businesses most likely and since Melaleuca has the highest reorder rate of any home business or store out there (Around 95% on average) many folks in other home businesses respect Melaleuca but because Melaleuca is a no selling business, the avon, mary kay, amway, mlm guys are seeing more and more people go with Melaleuca.
How can I say this? My mom is with Melaleuca and the checks she receives cover her products and she has money left over to pay bills, house note etc.. One of my best friends is a police officer and his wife and him just bought a nice new home with their check and just today I heard a lady with 3 kids and she earns over $4000 per month.
It's hard work and consistency but I reckon if a stay at home mom with 3 kids can do it than a buff and tuff construction worker will have no problems either. I love the honest of Melaleuca how they say it takes hard work, although my mother who is a member would say "Hard work? This is fun." But at least they say it's hard work so when you get involved its easier than you thought. So its a pleasant surprise.
I actually drove to meet the President and CEO and I got to shake his hand and look him in the eye and he's the real deal gang. A real good egg.
One last thing is that you should really see the presentation. I noticed right off the bat it was the only co. that showed me what everybody was earning.
No other co. dares show their sheet. Melaleuca actually shows the high low average of all the folks in the company before the person joins.
There will never be a perfect company by the mere fact that you and I may be part of it lol, but with a 95% reorder rate and 1000 people joining each day, and the products being safer and the simple referral program, not selling and delivering....I give it 5 **** on a common sense scale of 1-5 :-)
My momma says it's a no brainer.
p.s. My mom likes that the President and CEO was awarded the BETTER BUSINESS BEREAU Hall of fame award for outstanding ethics for over 20 years. I think the co. been in biz since 1985 They are good eggs down there those folks. Nothing bad ever came from Idaho lol :-)

I have. I am currently testing the products. So far I have tried there tea and it is awesome. I work nights and was having problems sleeping during the day. The tea claim to calm you so you can focus. Well I was told, as a part of a detox, along with some other products, to drink a half gallon a day and I made ice tea from it. Within one week I was able to sleep peacefully during the day. I am still sleeping during the day and more focused during the night. Better than taking Tylenol pm as one friend suggested. I also tried the dental products. The mouth wash is better than any I have tried and the toothpaste has a little different taste but it keeps my mouth fresh during my 12 hour shift with the breath spray. Products are more expensive but so far I will continue to use the products I have tried. I still pondering if I want to promote or just be a customer. The company is legit and I plan this month to try the vitamins and laundry detergent.

Multi-level marketing. If you have lots of friends who have money to spare and will buy from you on a regular bais, then you can make money. But the point of multi-level marketing is to sign up/recruit others to sell. If you recruit your friends, then who will you sell to!! Also, when people run out of soap, they usually return to picking up stuff at the market as it is 75% cheaper and most manufacturers are now going to a non-toxic base. Melaluca is legitimate as are most products but if you are aggressive and are always pushing your products, you will soon lose your friends. No one wants to invite someone over for dinner if all they talk about is some darn cleaner! You said it is your neighbour who is pitching the company. No doubt he has told all the other neighbours so they would be his customers. so who would you sell to in your neighbourhood? See what I mean? Eventually your pool of prosepcts dries up, everyone is selling, and no one is buying. and you have investment, and expenses. If you asked 100 people who have been selling multi-level how they did after two years, I am 100% positive that 78% will admit they lost money, 20% will admit they broke even, and 2% will say they made some cash by getting in early. The 98% will be your proof that, if you had spent the two years working part-time at Walmart, just 2 "4 hour shifts" per week , you would have made more money and have had a staff discount and kept your friends.

Melaleuca is the west coast version of the east coast company Amway--good products to buy, but multi-level marketing is where the sellers make the real money--you recruit people to sell under you and the more they sell (and those under them, and so on) the more you make. You have to recruit more than you sell in order to make any decent wages. I have to give Melaleuca credit--they do sponsor the best fireworks display I have ever seen in my life (Idaho Falls, Idaho) when I was out that way....

I have a friend who was going to do it, but did not want a huge investment or to store the items (that was what he was told). If you are looking for a business there are a lot of things to consider, such as storage of the products or even buying them in advanced. He decided to get into the same business as me and was happy he did! Good luck!

Yes, they are legit. I was going to start working with them, but if you don't plan on investing at least a few hundred dollars, I would not consider it. This is something that you should look into if you want to have your own home business.
