I girl I used to work with tried to send an e-mail saying that she didn't want to do any work because she was feeling too lazy to two of her friends, and she accidentally sent it to the ENTIRE department. Including her BOSS, her BOSS's boss, and HIS boss. Of course, she was mortified, and everyone in the department busted on her about it forever. (She didn't get fired, though.)

I accidentally called wrong person!!

I met this guy John at a bar, seemed nice we talked and then all the sudden he blew me off. It was horrible because I kept running into him and he got with this really scanky girl.
Well, then I met a different John, a friend of a friend and started dating him. One night I opened my phone book, and called the wrong John and left him a message about hanging out.

The worst part was the 1st John must have wondered if it was a mistake but was interested- so he had a friend call me!!! I had to tell him NO, it was a mistake and then call back the John I liked!!

I swore off Johns after that!!!

No but somebody sent me a text message and thought I was someone else. They seemed a little embarassed. They asked if I was going to the Mizzou game vs. Texas Jan. 23rd at 3:00. I told them they had the wrong number. They said they didn't. So I told them this was Natalie, and they said sorry. :)

I sent instant messages to the wrong people, on occasion, when there were too many boxes open on yahoo. Yes, I was embarrassed, and in one case lost a potential guy to meet.

Nope, never happened and I am sticking to that story. All I know is that when sending an email to your sister and ending it with Love you lots it is not fun to realize two seconds later you sent it to your 8 year old son's teacher.

I have but they were mostly of a business nature and it really didn't result in anything other than the other person deleting it.
I have twice received emails not intended for me that were very interesting.
One was from a (former) supervisor who was angry about me quitting my job. He wrote something nasty to my current supervisor but sent it to me instead.

The best:
The Vice President of my old company got into a silly rant with someone and clicked "reply to all" - much earlier in the email chain it was a very serious business discussion with about 40 names cc'd on it.
One person wrote to the VP:
"Oh my God"
VP wrote back:
"You sounded like a Valley Girl there"
guy wrote:
"Except I let you borrow my skirt"
VP wrote: "Sure, whatEVER"
and sent it to EVERYONE.

Well, ~I~ haven't, but my ex husband accidently sent a nasty email directed at me to our 9 year old son. Luckily I found it before our son did. Seeing that kind of made me double check before I sent my emails out ..:)

Yes. My young son and I tried to send a birthday greeting to my husband, his daddy. It was an "Arthur" card. I don't know if someone got it or not. I just hope I didn't get some guy in trouble with his wife because he got a card from his "son"

I did once, even though it wasn't that substantial, no love letters or hate mail or something. yet I hate it even as i will't save in ideas if I actually have despatched an digital mail or no longer, so I deliver it again. that still occurs with textual content messages.
