This excellent Lucio Fulcis Horror-Cultfilm had been banned as a "woman enemy" in Germany, cause the german FSK movie law was a big idiot.

the movie is not banned in the UK. you still can find that DVD at www.amazon.co.uk.
the DVD is banned forever in Germany. cause the german FSK movie law is a big idiotic coward

I am familiar with some of the work of Fulci but not that film. I like Dario Argento's films a lot, he is probably my favourite Italian director.
Is The Beyond banned in the UK - if it is not I might give it a watch.
Personaly I love silent era horrors like Das Kabinet Der Doktor Caligari, Nosfertu, anything with Lon Chaney, Faust...
I am also a huge fan of the Czech director Jan Svankmajer.
