..I am pro-ORCA ,,meaning I hate seeing these orcas and dolphins or any animals for that matter in captivity for the purpose of human ENTERTAINMENT. SICK! SAD! Anyways, if it really wanted to , it would of chomped the trainer in half or just pulverise him by hitting him outta the tank with it's tail, so in my opinion shamu was only protesting, and did not attack. enough of my rage and ranting, HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT IT??YOUR THOUGHTS ?

No one can presume to know what goes on in the mind of animal - no matter what it does.

And no, I don't believe in animal psychics, either.

Every couple of years, we read about a trainer being injured while in the tank with a killer whale.

We don't know what this particular killer whale was thinking this time. She dragged the man down underwater and held him there... then brought him to the surface, then down again. Who knows? Maybe she thought she could teach him to hold his breath for more than a minute.

In some of the other attacks, it's more obvious that the whale either didn't like the trainer, or was tired of doing tricks in a smelly controlled environment.

Seems the trainers feel the same way you do. I am glad to see that. rmember the tiger who bit his trainer> (siegfried or roy?) I had the strong feeling he had it coming. You are right, the whale found a way to show his annoyance. too bad the guy has a broken foot, though
