I need to make some sort of results table. The y-axis label should be Trials and then I number the y-axis 1-10. Then I need two columns one that says Plain and the other that says Salt. Then under Plain I have to type in Sunk and it should be next to Trial 1. So, I know I have to make this in Excel. How do I do this? I don't need to make any graph- just a table. Thanks in advance so much!! :-)

SInce you mentioned that you need stuff for x and y axes then I auuume you DO need a graph. Either way, the start is the same. First you go into excel and click on the A1 box. Type "trial", then in cell B1 type "plain." In cell C1 type salt.
Now in cells a2-a11 type your trial numbers. Then you put the results, i.e. "sunk" into the appropriate column. To make a grpah from the click on the chart wizard button. It's a colorful little bar graph icon on one of your top toolbars. Follow the steps from there. Hope this helps.

Well an Excel spreadsheet is like one big blank table just waiting for you to fill it in. You either label your columns and rows as you described or you can simply fill in those titles in the 1st cell of each row or column. You can expand cells and outline them or fill them with color to make your headings stand out. From there just enter your data in the appropriate column/row. To print or cut and paste to a Word document make sure you highlight only the portion of the spreadsheet you want and go from there. You can also create tables in Word. Hope this helps. Excel has an office assistant that shows up on your screen and you can ask it questions if you get stuck.
